The 3Com Wireless LAN Access Point lets wireless client devices connect to an
organizations Ethernet LAN at speeds up to 11 Mbps. Just simply plug it in, and
wireless clients are automatically detected and assigned valid IP addresses.
Each access point contains an integrated Web server for greater ease of
management and administration. Dynamic rate shifting guarantees connectivity,
even at long range or in noisy environments. With the Site Survey utility, you
can determine the number of access points needed on your network and their
optimal location for best coverage. Its power over Ethernet lets you install
additional access points where needed without having to run separate cables to
them. The Access Control feature provides security with Wired Equivalent Privacy
(WEP) 40-bit and 128-bit authentication and encryption to protect your sensitive
data. The Dynamic Server Link provides an even higher level of security.
